Oi, Dahl!

While Boggis and Bunce and Bean might well have been horrid and mean, the fact remains that 'fantastic' Mr. Fox was a THIEF.

A good point well observed.

Is Dahl telling us that theft can be ok if done against horrible people, especially those who are ugly? A valuable lesson for any child.

I guess Mr Fox was essentially Robin Hood for the animal world, except he stole food and not hard currency.

Wouldn't you steal food for a badger who was being bullied by farmers? I think that was the lesson Dahl was conveying to the masses.
